Workspaces
Everything you host with MagicWP belongs to a workspace: your sites, your plan, invoices, support tickets and the activity log. Every account has its own workspace, and you are its Owner.
You can invite other people into your workspace and give each of them a role, so a developer can manage plugins without seeing your invoices, or a client can log in to their own site and nothing else. Other people can invite you into theirs in the same way.
Members and roles
Who can do what, and how to change or remove access.
Invitations
Invite someone, or accept an invitation you received.
Two-factor authentication
When 2FA is required, and why.
API tokens
Automate your workspace through the MagicWP API.
Switching workspaces
If you belong to more than one workspace, a workspace switcher appears at the top of the sidebar. Pick a workspace and the dashboard reloads in it: the sites, billing and activity you see are that workspace's.
Each browser tab remembers its own workspace, so you can work in two workspaces side by side without one tab changing the other.
Opened a link to a site in another workspace?
If you open a site that belongs to another of your workspaces, the dashboard offers to switch to that workspace for you.
My access
My access (in the sidebar) lists every workspace you belong to, your role in each, and the sites you can reach there. From there you can switch workspace, or leave a workspace you no longer need. You cannot leave your own workspace.
Workspace settings
As the Owner, open Workspace settings to:
- rename the workspace (members see this name in their switcher);
- set the company name, VAT number and billing address that invoices are issued to.
Each invoice keeps the billing details it was issued with; changes apply to new invoices. Your own name and phone number stay under Settings → Profile.
Activity
Activities shows two views when your role allows it:
- My activity: your own sign-ins and account changes.
- Workspace: everything that happened in the workspace, with a By column showing which member did it. Actions made through the API carry an API token badge.
Billing and payments
The plan and invoices belong to the workspace. Members with the Billing role (or any role that includes paying invoices) can pay an open invoice with their own card; the invoice then shows who paid it. Choosing or changing the plan stays with the Owner by default.
